Mission Statement

The mission statement of Calle Mayor Middle School states that students, staff and parents are committed to:
* We
believe that students have the right to be taught by teachers who
are well versed in their subject and take joy in working with young
people.
* We believe risk-taking should be supported at all levels to
encourage growth and creativity.
* We believe that all students deserve the opportunity to learn and
develop in a safe and stimulating environment.
* We believe a quality education begins with the melding of all
facets of the community into the educational program: family,
business, and municipal services.
* We believe shared decision-making and the belief that every
decision we make must have the student's best interest as the
guiding factor.
* We recognize the intrinsic need of students and staff to have
respect, dignity, and freedom to grow and mature both as
individuals and members of society.
* We believe all students should have an equal opportunity to
succeed and feel successful.
* We believe that the process of educating should not only be
considered as "preparation for life" but that the educational
experiences provided should "mirror life".
